There is a real feel of excitement within the playing group with some great SHOC names coming home for the 2014 season. As well as those mentioned above in the Leadership Group, we’re also glad to see the following boys come back home:
Aaron Shattock, Ben Wright, Jack Juniper, Jack Horan, Jack Noonan, Brad Atkinson, Darcy Armfield, Will Laundy & Lockie Harrison.
With the return of these boys back at the SHOC footy club, we’ve gained a lot of footy experience and it puts us on the front foot for next season. With some hard work on the training track we’re very confident as a club we can have some success in all grades next season.
The senior boys have been working extremely hard on the track since Christmas and numbers have been very impressive at around 50-60 per night. We have also had a good 15-20 U18 players training with the seniors which has our new U18 coach Andrew Underwood smiling.
Moving forward we have 2 trial games scheduled. The first is against ROCs on the 15th March, followed by Goodwood on the 22nd March. Both games are under lights at Thebarton Oval. Round 1 of the season proper is on April 5th against SMOSH at West Lakes.
