SHOC Footy Club turns 50 in 2018

50year v1

The SHOC Footy Club will be celebrating its 50th birthday in 2018.  All of a sudden we’ve become middle aged. Many thought we wouldn’t make it out of our teens!!

Neil “Noddy” O’Dea is currently getting together an organising commitee to convene the major function which will properly celebrate this momentous event.  If you are interested in being involved in this committee, please contact Noddy either by phone at 0406 945 540 or by email at [email protected].

We are also on the hunt for any memorobilia which we can use to help us reminisce on our past glory years.  If you have any of the following:

  • flags
  • pennants
  • certificates
  • premiership or other cups/trophies
  • photos
  • videos
  • guernseys
  • newspaper cuttings
  • stats sheets
  • anything else you think may be of interest

the Footy Club would love to house these historical “artefacts” in a “SHOC Museum” where they can be shared, especially with the younger generation of the SHOC community to help them understand the rich history of this great club.  If you are happy to donate any of these items to the Footy Club, we’d be very grateful.  If not, if we could borrow them for display at the celebration event that would be a terrific outcome as well.  For paper documents, if you’d prefer to fax, scan or email them to us we’d also be grateful.

For more information on how you could share any items you may have, please contact Noddy O’Dea either by phone at 0406 945 540 or by email at [email protected].
