A depleted SHOCFC saved their best for a big crowd of sponsors and supporters at the Annual Cardiac match against a strong SMOSH Westlakes side at Glenelg Oval on Saturday 29th June.
Peter Caven, who earlier provided great entertainment for the lunching Sponsors, “fired up” the team to a convincing 26 point victory over 2nd on the ladder SMOSH.
After a similar result in 2012 when we overcame the odds to beat eventual premier SPOCFC, organiser Dion Moroney is considering a sponsors’ lunch every week!
A rousing rendition of “It’s a Grand Old Flag” led by Justin Hartshorne had players and supporters “lifting the roof” off the storied Glenelg changerooms.
