Undies’ Under 18’s Review…

Our Under 18 group have had a solid start to the first half of 2015. We are 4th with 4 wins and 3 losses coming out of the BYE and the June Long Weekend.

This year the 2 Divisions have been consolidated into a stronger and weaker division from last year and we are in the stronger 9 team comp, so no easy games.

Numbers were a concern early on and I wish to acknowledge Ben Moroney for his recruiting many new faces so now we have a good group to pick from. The new faces include lads that haven’t played footy for a while so it’s great to see lads playing football again.

Our best is good enough to match it with any team and the effort and endeavour by our lads has been great. It’s also really pleasing to see the lads from last year continue to improve.

The other pleasing thing from a coaching perspective is that many of the A Grade players have joined us at training to help out on a rotation basis that they decided on their own to do and drive. Great work.

A bit of luck with injuries and First 18 School commitments, and we will be right in the mix come finals time
